It was suggested I post here regarding this obscure kenwood receiver I have. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it.
Tuner works but it needs new globes which look very strange and it is filthy. Turntable is missing and dirt was coming through the hole, looks like years worth. Thankyou for your time.

I never have seen or heard of this kenwood before. I would also love to know more about it. was the turntable incorporated into the receiver?
 
I've never seen one like that before. Are you going to clean and fix it? Interesting it has the CD-4 decoder on board. The amplifier sections should be very straight forward and relatively easy to service if necessary... could be a fun project. The four channel decoder areas might be problematic, might have obsolete IC's.
 
Going to clean and make a case for it. See how it goes. Probably will never use the quad function. Not going to do any complex work. Just replace globes and clean.

I was thinking it needs it's own case. Hopefully it has a stereo to all channels mode, most quad units did.
 
I'm a Kenwood quad fan ( having owned both KR9340 and KR9940 quad receivers).

Never seen one like yours before. Definitely looks more like a lower end of the spectrum unit (but I'm not throwing stones at it)

Is it functional? Good luck getting more information, and getting it up and running if that's your aim. Would be interested in hearing what you think of it.

I don't mind if it's low end. I got it for nothing and I've got an English made audiolab amp for the good set-up.
Anyway, I changed the globes to led because a few were blown. They focus the light a bit too much but it will have to do. I'm not replacing them again.
Radio sounds very crisp, decent volume.
Haven't tried anything else yet.
Its a handsome unit, it may replace the jorgen amp I have in man cave.

I wonder what year that was manufactured. I remember I bought my KR9340 new back in late 1974. Couple points of similarity, the dial pointer looks nearly identical. Also the color of your faceplate (sort of a charcoal tinted aluminum face) looks like the same color as the bottom portion of the 9340 face.

One thing I forgot to mention. Quad plays on all 4 channels. Mono plays on all 4 channels. Stereo only works on 1. It may be because I'm only using one speaker to test each channel rather than having 2 plugged in simultaneously. I have to solder up another plug.
One thing I hate is connecting speakers via rca, with one wire on the centre pin and other on body. So annoying. Banana plugs forever.

I have exactly the same unit, found it in a garage sale about 10 years ago- and still can't find any information on it. Let me know if you find anything! Mine is the Trio ST-5V and I'm seemingly in luck as mine is pretty immaculate (needed a new needle and belt). I don't have the two smaller speakers that came with it though, sadly. I am looking for those, if anyone knows where to get them second hand. I've resigned myself to garage sales.
