Stacking Large Advents?

I have a pair of New Large Advents and I recently found a pair of the original Large Advents for sale in my area. I was thinking about stacking the originals on top of the NLAs, but I wasn't sure if this would work well. Should I pick up this pair of original large advents or wait for another pair of NLAs to come around to stack with what I have?

Should sound O.K. but aesthetically the NLA's would obviously look better, just remember to turn the top one's upside down.

Hi, and welcome to AK!
I've got OLA's with the NLA's stacked upside down on top. I read somewhere (Can't remember which forum-maybe classicspeakerpages) that this was the preferred arrangement. It's pretty good, but I think 2 matching pairs of either set would be better.

Enjoy the music,

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait until I can get another pair of NLAs, hopefully another pair with the walnut cabinets. They look great and the NLAs have always been one of my favorite speakers.

new large advents

I have 2 new NLA pairs stacked, and I am wondering ? how good are the infinity primus 363's ? silly question, but my stacked NLA sound so goood

Stacked Advents were very popular back in the early days. Just stack them with the top one inverted and wire them in parallel. I've tried it and they sound great that way.
