Damn big set of electrostatic headphones. Probably sound great and much easier to move your head vs. wearing the Koss ESP/6 which were very heavy.

The chair between the speakers isn't the listening chair, but I will use it give near-field listening a try now that the speakers are closer to ear level.
 
I started on another furniture rearrangement project and decided that the Quads are a little to big and black in my living space to have them out all the time. I modified the stands by adding skate wheel casters so I can roll them up against a wall when not in use. They roll very easily with these casters. I'll probably replace the black socks with something more in keeping with the rest of the room- maybe gray alligator to match the dinosaur hide rug, or sky blue if I can find a suitable cloth. Hmmm. Maybe I should add spring loaded cord reels for the cables...

Adding the casters was super easy- I just bored 7/16" holes in the t-slot on a milling machine and pushed them in. I bought a set of 10 casters for about $29 on amazon. These things are all steel and have polyurethane wheels and ball bearings for both the wheel hubs and the swivels.

I'm still planning to add additional bass drivers to them and build my own frame that will be much sturdier than the original. I haven't decided if I'll use t-slot or welded steel tubing yet.
