Stands for Sony SS-M7A

Just today I snagged a pair of Sony SS M7As and they sound amazing; huge soundstage, great imaging, a nice fullness to the sound, everything. With that being said, they do not have the original stands and I would like to try and keep them relatively low to the ground. Keeping that in mind, an optimal height for the stands would be 5-8 inches. The issue is that they need to be fillable, have the capability for spikes, and have zero tilt to maintain the time alignment of the drivers. Are there any stands out there that fill this criteria for a reasonable price, or do I have to go the macgyver route?

Do a search for "short speaker stands". There is a bunch of them. Only you can decide which ones will work for you. You'll want a pair that puts the tweeter of your speaker system at about ear level.

I ended up purchasing a cheap pair that would raise them up 6 inches and can be filled with sand. Since I'm on carpet and the bases aren't very large, I'm going to also use some Dayton outriggers to make things a little more solid.

Beautiful Speakers! They are on my dream list. I had a choice in January for a pair of these or a pair of Kef 107s. I chose the Kef, but it would have been a hard decision if both pairs had of been in Toronto at that time.

Ages ago I almost snagged a pair of those for like $200, but never heard back from the seller before they were gone.

Stands arrived today. Filled them up with sand and put everything together. Picking up these speakers was a very laborious task after not doing anything physical all day. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the stands for the price; all in all everything was about 70 dollars. Hopefully sometime tomorrow the outriggers will arrive and I can get them level on the carpet.
