Stands for Stacked Advents

Friends --
I am giving my Large Advents to my son, who will now have four to stack. We keep reading that, stacked or not, ideally Advents should be off the floor a bit. Any thoughts on stands? The ones we keep bumping into are tilted and while I understand the rationale, I don't think we need to introduce an unnecessary slippage risk for the top speaker. Thanks in advance.

Stacked Advents give a big wall of sound, but do not do much for imaging. As for stands you may have to fabricate your own. Have not seen any stands for stacked pairs.

When I had Advents, stacked. I used two large 9" concrete blocks side by side.
These would look better, IMO. I bought these foot stools un-assembled on Ebay or Amazon. About $40 each, a year ago. Some unusual wood species from Vietnam. Clear finish. About one foot cube. Search for footstools, for something that looks to fill the bill for you. These were also offered in painted versions.
I added speaker spikes under them. From Parts Express. Legs are made of two wood pieces glued together. So drilled where joined for spikes. So drill wouldn't walk.
Amazon still sells these. $40 to $43. In black, natural and walnut finishes. Acacia wood.
In Discription, they say oak. Then later say Acacia wood.

Would wooden crates work? This shows a Realistic Optimus-1...might have to brace them?

Yes, they might. And I think I have two crates that might work well as a matter of fact. and yes, bracing is something to consider for sure. Gotta figure that out too.

I just have squares of cork. Just to protect speaker finish from scratching. I bought the C2s in '77. They're like my children. Like many audiophiles. I have phobias about protecting my gear. LOL!
Some choose to use "Blue Tac" between speakers and stands.

These footstools assemble with bolts in each corner. Very sturdy.

I have two different kinds of wooden crates, one set might work for one speaker, certainly not two. The one I showed might work for two, thought I still would brace her...
