Stanton 600ee

Just bought new TT and it is coming with Stanton 600 cart,PO states it most likely will need new stylus.In my limited net research it seems there are several options.Does anyone have experience with this cart/stylus,any/all suggestions welcome.I have never used a 'moving iron' set-up.The TT is a Sanyo TP-80SB.Thanks.

The 600 and its twin, the Pickering V-15 Micro IV, are good cartridges. I have one and like it but I have so damn many cartridges that it gets very little use.

The better styli for it tend to be the Pickerings, notably the D-IV-AME, a.k.a. Pfanstiehl 607-DEM. Stanton styli for it are in the 821 Pfanstiehl group.

All of these are getting scarce and, therefore, expensive but I just discovered an interesting listing on eBay for an Astatic replacement. I didn't buy one but I did buy a couple of Astatics fro Shures from the seller. They're great!

Check eBay for "Astatic Pl 110-ED".

Oh, yeah! Pickering XV-15 styli work too.

I got a NOS D-IV-AM conical from Vickers in the UK for my Micro IV that tracks between 1-3g. $30. Excellent stylus that I use with my Garrard Lab 80. They have 3 other NOS options that track at higher ranges as well.

I would get a retip from Expert Stylus even a conical one

If you find a worn stylus but with the cantilever/suspension in good condition get it retip
