Stanton 681 EEE tracking force?

I used to own a Stanton 681EEE back in the 70's and really enjoyed it. I just bought one today at a garage sale and it sounds okay in the old Dual 1225 it came in. I want to mount it in another turntable , but I can't remember what tracking force compensation for the dust brush is. Anyone? Or better yet, a site to download an owners manual? Thanks in advance....roy

It's .75 to 1.25 grams recommended plus 1 gram for the brush.

That's correct. YMMV, of course, but with the brush installed I find that an anti-skate setting slightly less than the VTF works well, somewhere in between the VTF with and without the brush. I used an AS of 2.0 for a VTF of 2.25.

I've tried it with and without the brush, and it definitely sounds more 'open' without.

I suppose that could vary as a function of the arm's characteristics. I used mine on a PL-560 (medium/heavy S-arm) and couldn't really hear a difference.

So I used the brush 'cuz it looked cool. ;)

Then I put it on a PL-41 and the brush gave a noticeable improvement.

Interesting. On my modified SL-1200, it sounded a lot thicker/bassier with the brush. I kinda wish I could use the brush and get the best sound.
