Stanton D81S, D83S & D84S - Are they all the same?

I bought a NOS d84s as a backup for my 881s/d81s . I was hoping they were the same. It says Stereohedron and made in NY. The hole for the brush looks the same. It is sealed so I have not opened it to try it yet.

I dunno, I think they probably aren't identical (or maybe some of them are?), but with the availability (or lack of...) Stanton styli these days, I'd say they are probably close enough...
 
D84 is for the P-Mount version cart. Originally supplied w/o a brush. It's perfectly interchangeable with the D81. The D83 is for the moving iron P-Mount version, identical in shape but won't play MM carts like the 881S.
