Stanton headshells have doubled in price!

Last year, I got a Stanton headshell at Guitar Center for 12 or 13 bucks. Recently I was in need of another one, and shocked to see that they were charging $30, I looked around the Internet and found that that's what almost everyone else is charging, too. What happened?!

don't know ..last one i bought was about 10 years ago ..that was £30 ..nearly double that for $ ..looks like you are finding the bargains or i was ripped off .. just realised you said head-shell i thought you meant cartridge ..

For that price, get the Ortofon headshell. Much better headshell.

Gibson Guitar bought Stanton. Must have needed a price increase to cover the acquisition costs!

I bought one at Tom Lee near me a few months ago and it was about $15. I just checked and it is $18 right now online.

Could go with the LP Pro headshell as well seems to be a copy at $19.95. gotta buy the weights extra though if you need em'

Just look at any Gibson guitar, it's all overpriced.

The Ortofon is nicer made, it has better headshell wiring. And that is the budget model.
