Just a quick question regarding the Stanton L720 cartridge.

My grandma's mid '80s Hitatchi turntable has a Stanton L720 cart on it, but it needs a new stylus because the cantilever is horribly bent.

It's a P mount cart, but it also says it has an adapter for 1/2 inch mounting. Hers is a P mount, but my TT is a 1/2 inch mount, so I'm considering getting me one of these carts as well as a new stylus for her.

So what do you all think of this cart?

It costs $45.00/cart, and $30.00/stylus. Is it worth the price?

The 720 is a nice entry level cartridge. If your grandmother is just looking to have her turntable back up and running, that stylus will do the job.

Not sure what your budget is, but if you click on the closeout section on that website that you posted, you'll see a very nice deal on a 1/2 mount Stanton 681. It would be a very nice step up from the 720, if you don't need a P mount.
