Is the P-mount stanton d720 (or whatevee) stylus compatable with the standard mount stanton 500? Seems the 500 styli have been discontinued but the p mounts have not. I am in the process of putting a new belt on a Pioneer PL-115D to use as a backup table and want to use a Stanton 500dj cart only with a new elliptical stylus on it. I don't want to buy generic and the p-mount stylus is cheap. DEE720 (or 710) i think it is.

Also, anyone out there know where i could find a rubber mat for the Pioneer? Table came mat-less. Better yet, anyone have one lying around they'd care to donate?

The Stanton D71EE stylus, which is the stylus used on the L720EE P-mount cartridge, will fit the 500 series cartridge. It has a .4 x .7 mil elliptical diamond and the compliance is the same as the original D50E stylus the 500 cartridge used.

Kabusa.com recommends using the D71EE stylus.
