Hi Everyone,
I have a quadrophonic Beomaster 3400 that has been recapped and restored a couple of months ago and I started using it intensively since then. At first it seemed fine, but now it seems to have developed two issues:
1) a few times on startup nothing happened, and only after several seconds the unit came to life; once it was on the operation was as usual; most other times there is not delay at start up however and it powers up immediately;
2) after about an hour of listening a low-frequency hum develops through the speakers; there is no hum for the first hour or so, but then it is audible in the pauses between the tracks and sometimes also through the music.
Does anyone have any idea what these could be? Can these be related?
