Static adjusting volumn

I have the TubeDAC-11, had it for almost a year now.

Each time i adjust the volume - up or down, there is a lot of static crackling in my speakers.

I did some searches and at suggestions I've seen for others, I used Hosa Cable D5S6 Deoxit Contact Cleaner Spray on it and the static goes away for a few days, but it keeps coming back.

Is there a more permanent fix on this? I really hate it when someone comes into my office and I want to demo my sound system or just turn the volun down, and the static crackles when I touch the knob- it doesn't impress.

Appreciate any suggestions

Use Fader lube in track type controls, deoxit for switch contact type controls. Noisy controls can indicate DC is present in the control.
