Steampunk speakers on Ebay

[mikeybc]

Looks like a vintage Lirpa Labs product...remember the "steam table" ?

i don't get it. are we looking at an art project, or a speaker?

No need to choose. You get both with these.

No doubt someone spent a lot of time on those. But I don't think steam punk is all that popular with the wealthy class that could buy such a thing. You could get a pretty nice copper lamp or hand-carved decoy for twelve grand.

Ugh.

If you buy them be sure you don't make the mistake of hooking your amp up to this connector, the impedance is a little low.

[Urchinn]

Kinda depressing that this is the current fad! Oh well....

[qpagoda]

I love Steampunk but shouldnt there be horns?

Didn't help, really. They look better without the horns.

Antlers?

[qpagoda]

Antlers?

Hmmm . . . . . Interesting.

for less money, I'd try to round up some from Moth Audio, those were cool looking

I think that model is the "Steaming pyle".

That's funny. :thmbsp:

Treat them as art. I've no desire for them. He gets a lot of attention(like this thread) by putting them on eBay.
