I didn't share this with all of AK but my stepson Joshua had another diagnosis of cancer in May.
He had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma when he was 7,this time 12 yrs later he was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma.
They started chemo in June and due to excessive dosages and aggresive treatment he is cancer free and back at Faith School in Maine.

I want to thank Pro,Toze,Grump, Kam,Dave918,JDaniel,Celt, CarlV,Styler and Bart for all their support and help.

If I missed anyone,sorry

Josh has to eat a lot to get his weight back,he dropped to 85LBS. He is more concerned that his eyelashes are gone, but being blond helped.

<heaving a sigh of relief> That's great news, Alan. I am always glad to hear that someone turns the corner.

A tip of the hat to your support group. A fine group of men.

As for weight gain, send him up here, my wife's cooking (and mine) will whet his appetite, and get him back to fighting weight. (or, in my case, a little beyond that. OK, rather well beyond that)

Good news seems scarce around here these days, but that is indeed some of the best I've heard recently.

Well, Alan, that was my dad's philosophy with me growing up. All his toughness taught me character he said. And now, I wouldn't change any of it. Except for that one time.....

Great news about Josh. The best in fact. And it is great he's gone back to school so quick. Time to get his mind on other things. That's what I did when I finished my chemo many years ago. I was a junior at the Univ. of Tennessee. I was completely bald from the chemo, and looked like hell. I finished my last chemo treatment around Christmas of that year, then started the winter quarter two weeks later. I had to get permission from all my professors to wear a hat in class. But going back to class was the best thing for me. I got some normalcy back in my life.

Again, great to hear about Josh. Does he need any new music?

JD

Thanks Jeff,You know with all my influence Josh never listens to music.I think the music in church is his only source
