Stereo beam tuning

I just turned on Fisher 500-b after about a week and stereo beam tune is not working as before (normally). Set sounds fine but I am worried. I recapped it some time ago and had been fine since except for tuning cord breaking. Any ideas where to start looking?

does the tuning eye work at all? How about on AM? If its not lighting up at all you may just need a new eye tube, or perhaps one of the wires feeding the tube broke.
 
Raff -- If the tube is still lighting up, then see if the problem is apparent in both the FM MPX setting, as well as the FM Mono setting. Two different signals drive the tube under these two settings. Let us know!
