Stereo cabinet, good value?

Hi Everyone,
Just saw this today and thought I would try to get some opinions on value and if it would be a good idea. I am concerned about heat accumulation. I like the storage space for albums and slide out turntable shelf. I think it would handle the need for multiple turntables, 2 on top and one on the shelf

It looks nice. I see it's veneer over particle board. I've had good and bad experiences with that type of construction. To me, a little pricey.
 
Personally, I've never been a huge fan of turntables on drawers... seems to me that any suspension or dampening built into the table is negated by setting it on cheap-o plastic bearings and sliders.

If that doesn't bother you - and if you like how it looks - then go for it.

I had a couple of misgivings and after hearing these comments I think I'll pass. Staying with open shelves. I read somewhere that glass shelves aren't good either. Wish I could remember where I read that.
