I have a cassette deck, and i now have a Reel to Reel player. I can use the EQ on my cassette player in tape 1 on the reciever, but i can't utilize the EQ with my reel to reel on tape 2 on the receiver.

Is there a way to resolve this. I'm running an older Onkyo Receiver TX82. Question, Are there EQs that have inputs for 2 decks. So I can use my reel to reel player as well as my cassette player. And if so what do I look for on the back of the eq with respect to the inputs.

If your receiver has tape 1 and tape 2, then you should have a duplicate or dubbing option button or switch. Show us some pics of your receiver.

Just FYI, I own a Pioneer SA8500II with tape 1 and tape 2 inputs along with dubbing capabilities.

I have my EQ in tape 1 and my first tape deck into the tape in/out on the EQ. My second tape deck is in tape 2.

If I want to hear tape 1 with EQ, I flip the tape monitor 1 button and make sure the EQ is engaged or in the "in" position.

If I want to hear tape 2, I flip the tape monitor 2 button. If I want to hear tape 2 with EQ, I just switch my dubbing switch to indicate tape 1 > tape 2.

That unit of yours is more computer electronic so maybe there is something in the menu settings that allow you to do this. :dunno:

Do you have 2 tape inputs on your EQ? If so, that's what I would need, I think.
