Hello hopefully to a vintage stereo enthusiast!! This is a long shot, i know. I have this stereo unit from the 1960’s. The cord has been cut as I needed the plug for another use, but of course it was tested before then. I can’t find much info about it online. Is there anyone out there who recognizes it and maybe knows some common issues with it? It doesn’t work, specialists and repair peoples local to my area say it’s way too involved and they’ve never see anything like it and therefore won’t work on it. I would love to have it fixed! I don’t even know where to start. It has power, that I know, as it was powering the record player in the record console it came in. A tech will cut the cord if the unit has an unresolved serious issue and the cord should only be reconnected if you know what you are doing. We have a wide range of skills on AK, some people can't/shouldn't perform simple voltage measurements. The cut cord is not a big issue if you have some basic skills, if not then best to leave alone.
