Sterling Electronics SE-400

Hi guys, I found this Sterling brand speakers at my local thrift store for $50 bucks. They are in very good condition for their age and they sound really good. Nice highs and tight bass. I was wondering if anybody knows who made this brand. I did a search on the net for more info but no luck. Any kind of information will be appreciated.

I sure wish I could find some info on these speakers. I have the same pair and I really really like them. They seem to be very efficient and very detailed. I run through many speakers because I have some sort of disorder that makes me and I always come back to these sterlings. They are possibly my favorites from a garage FULL of vintage speakers. They don’t seem to be of an extremely high end build quality but they’re not bad at all. 3/4 plywood and have a potentiometer and and a layer of pink insulation on the back wall of the cabinet, maybe 2” thick. The drivers are paper cone with what looks like treated cloth surrounds. The magnet on the 12” is stamped SE-500-A and under that 137 7026. the magnets remind me of the early AR magnets. Would love to hear something about these strange birds.
