4 miles from here so I rolled over around 10:30AM. $500 on Thalia, $100 on Grandson, $200 on the dirty Polk monitor 10s. LPs were individually priced "Can't buy a Thrill" $30, Aja, $20, Chicago II, $10.

I left it all. I thought about the Grandson amp, but only 40wpc and lots of threads about replacing caps and resistors were enough for me to leave it for another...

Thanks! My hifi dealer in Champaign had a Thalia at home but that was over 40 years ago.

$500 was too much for the Thalia especially since I have 6 other preamp/projects here already. That Sony was $200 with a decent Grado in it. All the stuff was dirty and had cat hairs on it; the Polk grilles had cat scratch pulls too. There were two sets of PSB speakers upstairs that may have been the best values priced at $100 and $70 respectively. If i wasn't thinning the herd here I may have grabbed the amp and the bigger PSBs, but I'm exercising restraint these days except for steals.
