Steve Job's hi-fi setup

This isn't a picture of my system, it's an old picture, taken in the mid-80s I think, of the hifi system that belonged to a chap who passed way recently.

I love the minimalist approach to this room, it looks like it would have been a great space for listening, apparently the rest of the mansion was furnished similarly.

Often credited with "destroying" music by compressing it, wrapping it in DRM technologies and then selling it, it's interesting to see that he was into top quality audio gear from the look of the equipment in this image, which would be at least 25 years old.

Can anyone pick what the hifi different types of equipment he has?

I read recently why the room, and his whole house, was 'furnished' with no furnishings. He was so obsessed with a certain design aesthetic that he never really found all that much that he wanted to live with early on, considering that he didn't have a whole lot of time to look for it. So instead of filling his house with things he found quickly that weren't to his liking, he just kept it basically minimal and empty. Hey, if you're going to be something..be it all the way. He was obsessed with clean functionality and it eventually long after this picture was taken, payed off for sure.

That house was considered to be something of an architectural landmark. It required a long battle before he eventually won the right to demolish it.

Saw an interesting thing on the news about how he was in fact a somewhat snarky guy...I do not mean to detract from his genius and accomplishments, but he's got a pristine reputation yet was human like the rest of us.

Sounds...

...like Steve Jobs (may he rest in peace) spent his life doing pretty much whatever he really loved to do most.

In the course of his 56 years, Mr. Jobs changed (in profound ways) the worlds of technology, art, entertainment, and communication.

Too bad he did not get the surgery sooner.

RIP

Not to be disrespectful to Steve Jobs, but why could such a smart guy make so tragic a mistake?
