Unles you already have the requisite ADC/DAC and software....However, this means introducing more distortion:
- ADC process introduces its own distortions (unless using deluxe ADC)
- The filtering itself if not really programmed right will introduce impulse distortion/etc
- DAC process introduces its own distortions (unless using deluxe DAC)
I'm not against digital audio at all, but to do it properly the investment (IMO) would be far higher than just buying some quality opamps or transistors.
In terms of filtering, the physics question is, does the SG behave as a minimum phase system (and therefore when you correct F/R using minimum phase, you also correct the phase/impulse response)... cos in that case you can choose minimum phase filters....
Normal styli cantilevers are minimum phase, most natural phenomena are minimum phase... but not all.
