His info is a Jpeg inserted in ad, link is a Ebay spoof. Surprised these auctions are still up. Surprised I'm still up...

It's a hijacked account. The seller has thousands of legit items.


My guess is the 'hacker' hijacked a number of the listings and changed them all to these new listings. Some of the hit counters are only at 9, so it's only just been modified. Hence the reason why there are no bids and also why eBay hasn't found them and taken them down.

Darn it....... I thought ebay would shut the account down. I saw it earlier. There were over 10K auctions on this guys account. I reported it in a chat session with Ebay, and they removed all the bogus ads over about 45 minutes.
 
I see we've been getting these listings deleted. It looks like we have to keep hitting these as they pop up. I just ran through all the guitars.

Is the seller jjmilitarycertificates?

I got nothing, but that as the seller. He's selling "reproduction" military certificates... Seems the FBI and military would be all over this..
 
Looks like they have finally shut down the hijack. All I see is valid items that are U&C for that seller.

Other than leaving it up in an attempt to trace the culprit, it confounds me why it took e-bay so long to shut this down. Have to go find that USA Today article and see what they had to say.
 
I cringe to think of the buyer for an item advertised as:

U.S. ARMY HONORABLE DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE TYPE-2

That gives me the willies.
