Strange DIY EV find.

Stopped at a Goodwill I haven't been to in a few months yesterday noon on my way back from an appointment. I found this home made plywood box with 8 horns in it, two fuse holders and a 1/4" jack on the back. I paid above my typical "Strike Price" and had no way to test it but I figured that at least two (2) of the horns were marked EV so I took a chance. I pulled the drivers out when I got home to discover:

Two (2) 1824M with Peavey plastic?? horns.
Two (2) ST350A
Two (2) T350
and two (2) that appear to be T35's but the rears are covered with white corrosion and the only markings are 824 7574 735 on the horn.

Best part is they all checked out between 5.8 and 7.8 ohms with a meter  (maybe my 1st use of the dancing banana!!)

Now I have to figure out what to build with them.

Anyone know anything about the Peavey Horn?? No part #, just Peavey and Made in USA.

I think the EV T350 are supposed to be pretty good, search around for info. I've only ever had the somewhat crappy TW35's.

Klein screwdriver, nice! ;)

T350s are good but for their prices they sell for, you can easily beat them. Definite flipping material. 1824M is a pretty good mid-compression driver. No real topend, but they'll dig deeper than you'd expect. ST350 is a decent tweeter and definitely a step up from the T35.

Gee, you think the guy that built those was kinda horny? No woofers, or was that a separate cabinet?

Weaponized horns. Looks like something you would aim at a neighbor you really didn't like.

The T-350 tweeters are definitely the high value items in that cabinet although all the components are quite saleable on Fleabay! You have made an official financial "score" on this purchase!

That's got to be the craziest looking horn setup I've ever seen in my entire life! Those look like they all have enough power to shatter glass and make your ears bleed!
