Stromberg Carlson Stereo 6 / ASP-60

I replaced a similar circuit breaker today with a fuse holder in another amp - and it wasn't the first bad one I've replaced. Though the one in my ASR-333 tripped when a tube arced - and reset OK afterwards, so SOME of them still work.

With amp unplugged, you should measure zero Ohms across circuit breaker terminals.

Stromberg made those speakers to be concealed inside an enclosure - they also sold finished open-back cabinets for them, so you could separate them from the console. Pretty ugly without, and shedding sawdust besides.

Thanks again Tom,
I am going to have someone check the amp out. I had heard it play in the shop that had it. But I didn't try it again when I went back to get it about a week later so not sure why it's dead. What's you're opinion of the preamp?

I took everything out of the console cabinet where I bought it and left the console behind. The speakers I took more out of curiosity. They are covered in a thick black paper that is actually in good condition. They are just not my thing. I took the turntable too, just a Garrard RC88 but they're cool for playing 78s.
