Struck gold in deal with buglegirl

Picked up this cool Eldorado nixie Volt/Ohm Meter,from buglegirl, on BT. Paid for it mid-week and received it that Friday. Packed to perfection and even better looking in person. Here it is providing support, hiding my fan,as well as adding some style to this modest collection of tube audio. Thanks Frannie, I'll continue to proudly display it.

It's measuring the output of the Radio Shack 13.8V linear power supply, that is feeding the tube buffer above it. I had a pretty good idea what I was going to do with the Nixie unit, but wasn't sure if it was a good idea. I like it.

My electrical knowledge and skills will keep me from relying on it in that capacity. As Dirty Harry said, "A man's got to know his limitations." Perhaps in the future I'll get it a tech, who will dial it in for me. For the time being, it will serve as a really cool static display of that technology. I'm really happy you decided to pass it along.
