Stupid Fast 1/7th Scale RC

I doubt you've seen anything like this before. This RC does 102mph or 164kph. I live in the middle of nowhere but I have miles of perfect pavement. Thus I do what no one else does. Check this out...

Very nice! Like the in car and outside car vantage points, give us a pic of the actual car and setup. I figured you had to be following in a chase car, could be tough to watch it sail into the horizon!

Next video, you should have a readout of the Garmin in a picture in picture type setup.

Reminds me a lot of in car Porsche 962 videos.

I have a kyosho mp9e tik that has every upgrade part.
It has the same motor/power system (actually better sensored tekin rx8) as the xo1 and weighs about 4 pounds
Less than a xo1.

I run 4s most of the time but i have ran 6s on the street to wow my friends

3000+ dollar off road 4 wheel drive buggy

Very kool video

Running 6s 100+mph i am kinda afraid of lift off - flying thru the air and wrecking my car

Nice! I have an old school Kyosho UltimaII 2wd buggy....far cry from your mp9e. 6S can be harsh on parts and heat up quickly without proper ventilation. One advantage of chasing is if you can stay higher than about 50mph, the constant airflow does a good job of keeping everything cool. Usually around 100deg or 110 on a real hot day. Even my slash stays cool, significantly cooler than when bashing.

I sure learned a lot

Like how expensive. A 750 dollar kit could be

Lots of upgrade parts

I run 4s off road most of the time

Very tough car

A friend has a xo1 - very very fast

He hit me with it when i was standing in the street.

It took a small chunk out of my leg

I am glad it was not going anywhere near top speed

About 3 yrs ago an RC bug came and bit me hard. Learned lots too. I only run 4S on highway or sand dunes with slash, offroad bashing it's just too much. I don't even operate the XO-1 in town because like the trucks, it's a little kid magnet and they really like to get in the way. That car would take out a little kid like a bowling pin. lol

So you have your xo1 chase you.

I can imagine the story a cop would be telling his buddies.

I pulled this car over for going 105 mph but i never caught the driver of
The rc car that was trying to pass him.

Ha ha

Have you thought about doing an FPV setup?
No chase car needed and a whole new driving experience...

I spend at least an hour yesterday watching your videos and other X01 clips. Yours are the best. I really like the dual cam off road video with the rear view. Fun stuff!

Oh yes I've thought about FPV but I don't think it would work all that well above 50 or 60mph. My experience with these cars at sustained higher speeds has shown me how twitchy and reactive they can be. Seems seeing the car from behind gives your brain a better idea of the finer details of the cars movements thus you can make all the steering adjustments. I've had instances where the car jumps around on me at 70plus mph and I was still able to regain control whereas if i was driving fpv style, I wouldn't have realized the seriousness of the situation until way late. It might work with a good exterior mounted dual cam setup feeding into 3D goggles. If that turns out doable then you would probably want to follow it in a real car anyways because it can go for 12km or 7miles in one shot......Ya that would be fun.....really fun doing it from the back of a nondescript van on a brand new double divided with moderate traffic. Imagine cruisin along at 75 minding your own business when this little car flies past you or underneath you and just keeps on going.... :naughty:
