Stylast

I picked up my new RP6 today and needed some stylus cleaner. The shop owner showed me these Last products stylus cleaner and stylus treatment. So I made an impulsive buy even thought they're expensive. I've read some mixed comments for these products and would like to get some opinions here. From what I understand the cleaner has no alcohol in it.
I'll probably still pickup the Onzow zerodust.

I've been using both for quite a while - over ten years. The treatment I apply before each side of play, the cleaner as needed (which isn't often). I may be imagining things, but I believe it makes a difference.

Happy trails,
Larry B.

I'm pretty sure I read that applying the stylus treatment was good for an entire LP play.

another Stylast lover. Brush the stylus of my Exact2 cartridge before play It really does keep things clean

Been using them for years, and those little nail polish sized bottles go a LONG way. I feel that they make a positive difference, and although expensive, are worth the money, but that is just me.

I've been using them since the '80s, though I no longer use the Lp treatment. They are expensive, but considering the cost of the stylus, if they increase life expectancy by even 10% they're well worth it.

I've used Stylast for years and it seems to work. I treat the stylus every 10 albums or so, but I brush the stylus or use gel to clean every 1-2 albums. My Stylast is probably 15 years old and it's still half full.

From their website:

"Stylast is not a lubricant and leaves no residue. It is effective throughout the entire play of one side of an LP record."

Happy trails,

LOL I missed the "one" part. I seem to recall them claiming longer life than one LP 20 years ago, but who knows. Regardless it goes a long way.

Been using it since the 1980s when it first came out. I use the Stylast before playing each side of an LP. It takes several years to go through a single bottle, so I'm now on my third one. The initial purchase might seem expensive, but your actual daily cost of this effective product is only a few pennies.

Anything I can do to extend the life of my LPs and stylus is a good thing so I use the stylus treatment. Like was mentioned it lasts a long time and only take a few seconds to apply.
