Stylus microscope

I recently was at the local Harbor Fright store and come across this pocket microscope and thought I would give it a try for looking at turntable stylus. It work pretty good for only $8.99. http://www.harborfreight.com/25x-pocket-microscope-95883.html

Neat! I think that'd be nice for checking to see if your stylus is clean or not.

If you want to see wear facets, well... they are super small. So you need 200x mag and bright side lighting to make them out well enough to tell if the stylus is ok for playing.

Looking for recommendation of specific brand/model loupe for stylus inspection that's of good quality but reasonably priced, $25 lets say if that's possible.

Read this sticky at the top of the Turntables forum. You will see that it cannot be done casually. You need to have a very specific type of setup to be able to see anything at all about condition, other than gross damage like huge chips or a stylus that's missing altogether.
