Stylus replacement for a Shure M75 ECS

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with finding a stylus replacement for a Shure M75 ECS? The original stylus was a N75 EC but Shure doesn't make them anymore.
LP Gear recommends a Shure N75B Type 2 but it's conical and the original was ellipitcal.
I've read lots of people who are impressed with Jico stylii but I can't find an equivalent for the M75 ECS cart.
Can anyone help out with some advice? I'm new to all this and any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Most of the M75 styli are interchangeable-the different initials are basically selling points.

I have the M75 Tytpe II and I got my replacement stylus from the same place HAKaplan recommended and it works great, sounds great and tracks great.

Seriously, I'm real happy with it.

Yes, it's worth that upgrade. It was the second best cartridge Shure made at the time, and some prefer it to the current M97xE. With the M97xE you get the brush which works to dampen resonance. Technically the M75 is a little high in compliance for an s-arm, but Edriz has testified to how well his works. The HE stylus is a step up over the elliptical stylus.

Thanks, hakaplan
That was what I was contemplating, whether it was worth getting a new stylus or just forking out for a new M97xE.
Sounds like the M75 is a keeper.

Thanks for your help, guys. It's much appreciated.
