i'm working with my most resolving system to date:
exposure 2010 integrated + linn kan mk1 + energy xl-s8
SO it's time to start working on source equipment, firstly, my stylus.
i'm planning to keep the dual 1242 and just upgrade the stylus (currently using an Audio Technica ATPN2) unless i find a killer deal on a table with stylus already installed.
i'll be looking to spend under $299 for this upgrade. i'm currently using the phono-pre in the exposure, anyone familiar? i've experimented with other but keep coming back to this on board pre.
as for what i want the stylus to do:
i want it to be detailed and accurate so i can make the best use of the resolve of my speakers and amplifier. i love the tight, fast, speed of the linn kans so something that wont much this up but maybe compliments them in another way... dynamics? more detail? any thoughts on what to consider here?
interested in hearing some different approaches and of course any recommended cartridges. so far the grado gold has been recommended as a nice match for my table and is in my price range...what else you guys into?
