Stymied by Nak 480

Thanks,....You have been immensely helpful.
The true spirit of AK!

So what are you waiting for? Did you tested fusible resistors (I wrote above)? Maybe you fried them. If you are not familiar with Nak, find good technician and send deck to him before you damage it completely. Or wait for wonder, it is up to you.

I'm surprised you haven't suggested a subscription to tidal.

Please stop thread crapping.

If someone is an idiot, they are for life. But nothing personal, just thinking out loud. Merry Christmas!

Does this still sound like a timing issue or the typical for me, a coincidental simultaneous electrical component failure?
Not a timing issue because this deck needs no (has no) timing. The cam wheel self-aligns. The play and FF worked before you got into this deck so the only reasonable explanation is that you inadvertently caused damage to the deck. That damage could be ANYTHING so it is hard for US to tell you what that is. Don't say that a part just "happened to fail" all by itself while you were doing repairs. That is fantasy.

Check for broken wires.

wow.

If you truly are interested helping me,....which would be appreciated,....please take the time time to read the thread to keep me from answering the same questions over and over.

"That is fantasy."
To this I add,....I just repaired a JVC CD player that went bad on the shelf. Go figure..
Do you think I am lying?
Please refrain from the condescension and insults.

Bulb in play switch reads 4 meg while pause and record both read 150 ohm.

???

Why would a transistor show shorted in circuit and good out?
