so for xmas i recieved a subscription to "stereophile" magazine. and as much as i find it really interesting, being so new to all this there is a pretty solid amount of information that is going over my head bc it is all fairly technical. i was wondering if anyone has any suggested readings about the world of Hi-Fi... kind of like a Hi-Fi for dummies type deal!?!?

I think I've seen a "Hi-Fi For Dummies"!
Could just start Googling for various book titles.
There is a wealth of info on the web already.
I'm sure folks here will chime in.
For X-mas I received Tremaine's Audio Cyclopedia, 2'nd Ed., 1969.
A little dated, but has a wealth of information.
