Suggestions for the right receiver for 2 pair Advents

It looks green in person but it is actually black and gold with sparkles. I did my KLH 6s in it too. I hated the stock fabric and wanted that 70s funk.

How are you getting to stay on top of one another with the speaker stands? I ask because I'm about to stack some and was curious

I think an increase in good quality power is always a good thing, especially for certain speakers. I have 2 pairs of Original Large Advents that are stacked and wired in parallel.
I have driven them with the following 4 receivers. Marantz 2252B (52 wpc), Sansui Eight (60 wpc), Pioneer SX-850 (65 wpc) and a Yamaha CR-2020 (100 wpc). They sound great
with all 4 receivers but particularly good with the Yamaha and the Marantz.....so go figure, the two receivers on the opposite ends when it comes to power. Now I live in a condo
so I don't listen at prodigious levels.

There really is something magical about "stacked" Advents.....I never realized it until I got my 2nd pair of OLAs. I'm always on the lookout for great speakers. Have always
had a lusting for Martin Logan and Thiel. But I love the sound of these Advents so much (140.00 for one pair and 150.00 for the other) that I have this fear I could spend
2K on a pair of speakers and not like them more than my Advents.

Magical is the word. I once had double stacked OLA (eight of them) driven by a Phase Linear 400 amp. Correct ohms was obtained by series and parallel wiring of speakers. Loud but very clear and detailed sound. Wish I had it back again but the days of $10 and $20 Advent speakers is gone forever.

As I remember Mcintosh MA 1900 was rated to handle 2.66 ohms as were the later recievers. Todays Mac receiver is rated down to 2 ohms. But its very pricey. But if this is going to be a long term investment it might be wise to find a pre-owned one now before our current inflation really gets serious. And it does have Power Guard to protect the drivers. But I would look for a MAC 4300 that has been recently looked after. Less Power with Power Guard would match up with your speakers better.
