Summer in the South Pacific.

Rooster Lover
This has been a fantastic Summer down here in Godzone. Drought conditions throughout the country and I feel for the farmers and their stock however I am loving the weather. Good times for our Whanau. (Family).
26 degrees Celsius today and its supposed to be Autumn. Don't like Autumn much. A bit like an orange traffic light!
More sun I say!

Spring is showing itself here in SoCal after a typically mild winter. I see the Maori term for family is being used more in New Zealand. Beautiful country you live in down under!

Hey Bobabode. Thanks, yes there are times I feel we really do live in paradise down here. Especially when we end up with a summer like this.
Te Reo Maaori is slowly becoming more sort of "everyday" to a lot of New Zealanders.
About time too IMO.
If we have a mild and gradual intro into Autumn/Winter, 2013 may well be the best ever vintage for our local wine makers! Fingers and toes crossed.
SoCal? Southern California?
If so, where abouts?
In our part of Aotearoa we have access to both West and East coasts. Really only 20 minutes drive between. Last weekend we spent the morning swimming in the Surf on the West coast then had dinner in a restaurant 60 meters from the beach on the East coast.
We do tend to experience all four seasons in one day though through the dark months. Always a trade off.
Regards. Craig.
