Hello everyone, what is the difference between these two? Also, what does D, G and extra mean let's say in AU D707G extra? Am looking at 2 models up for sale an AU D707 and D707G Extra. Both priced above 400USD with the G variant being $20 higher. I currently own an AU666 which I really enjoy coming from modern amps. AU-D707 is the JDM model of the AU-819, and the JDM 'AU-D707G Extra' looks like there is no International version, however the closest is probably the AU-D9. The AU-819 is an earlier amplifier than the AU-D9, this could explain the price difference. Rest assured either (perhaps especially the AU-D707) will require remedial work or reconditioning to give reliable service.
'D' means ? - I am not sure, except maybe 'Direct' as in Direct Coupled.
'G' means 'Ground Free'
'Extra' means ? - I am not sure, I always thought it meant some higher quality components internally or nicer external trim.
