Superscope MS38 Model Question

I just picked up this Superscope MS38 receiver, turntable and 8 track. I haven’t tested the 8 track. But the FM on the left channel is very weak. Aux and Turntable outputs are fine. I have two questions.
1) is this receiver a stand alone model? I saw where there was a similar one called MS18. I see many other Superscope receivers but none like this. I’m guessing there is no schematic available for this model.
2) since the left channel sound on FM is very weak, is that likely a capacitor?
Here’s a picture of the unit.

Try cleaning the selector switch, and everything else while you’re in there.
You can also check out the 8track belt and lube the head mech.

Thanks and good idea on the 8 track. This unit is unusual as it has an integrated Turntable so I’ll have to figure out how to get access. I haven’t found any manuals yet so I may just have to wing it.

Well it wasn’t too bad in opening it up. I sprayed the switches to no avail. I’ll keep playing with it. Here’s a picture of it opened up.

Well a new development. The proper sound level came on for maybe a minute in the left channel while on FM. This happened 3 separate times. Then it will fade to a very low faint like volume. There’s no sequence to get it back as far as I can tell. All switches have been cleaned. The right channel is fine. Both channels are fine in aux and phono. So loose connection? Bad component? Both? Thanks for any advice.

Well it’s a loose connection because when I tap the board it will come on. Hmm. Not sure where. Unfortunately I can’t access the bottom of the board like most receivers. Oh well. I’ll keep poking and see if I can identify the part.
