Surge protection question

Ok I am in the process of building a new house and I will have two 10ga dedicated power lines running to my main system and one other running into the offices for a 2nd system. My question is that I need surge protection and that’s it… I don’t want to clean my power, as its dedicated and I don’t want to limit the power by running it through something cheap… I guess what I am asking is what would be a good way to give me some protection from surge without breaking the bank and without limiting the power?

Check into Tripplite surge suppression devices. We use them all over the hospital and I use their surge supressors for my home computer, video gear and my stereo equipment. It's all well constructed and designed for long term use.

I've seen whole-house surge protectors that connect to the breaker panel for less than US$50. No filtering, and the entire house gets protected as well.
