I apologize for not giving prior notice, but here it is anyway. Another contest for free tapes for anyone who can name the tunes. This will probably be the last one of these that I do for awhile. Summer is here and the wife and I have plenty of sun-side plans. So enjoy the contest and the tunes.
To maintain continuity, I will again go over the premise and rules. Attached are a total of 11 links to video clips showing my X-2000R playing some different songs. There is an "instant winner" song, seven main round songs, and three bonus songs. The first person who correctly identifies the artist and title of the instant winner song will win one of the tape prizes shown below. Next, the first person to correctly identify the artist and title of all seven of the 'main' songs will also win one of the items of his choosing. And lastly, if someone correctly identifies all seven of the main songs, they can win additional items by correctly identifying each of the 'bonus songs'. One bonus song=one extra item. There are 10 items shown as offered. The maximum potential 'win' for any one person is up to 5 (five) items. Only two winners are possible. Here are the rest of the rules and conditions:
1. The duration of the contest is 24 hours (one full calendar day) from the time stamp on this message, or when I declare winners, whichever comes first.
2. You are not required to purchase anything from me nor do I charge for shipping (as long as you are in the United States.) Non-US AK'ers are welcome to play, but because of the extra paperwork and shipping costs, I will be asked to be reimbursed for shipping internationally.
3. Items are available first-come, first-claimed. Multiples of items shown are not available. As such, two winners cannot get the same individual item nor can a winner get more than one of the shown items. When submitting your entries, please be sure to include your prize request on your posting.
4. All contest entries must be posted within this forum as a public message. Entries directed to me via e-mail, private message, or hidden message will be ineligible and therefore not accepted. Period.
5. I ask that you only list entries if you are absolutely sure of all key winning songs only (i.e. the instant winner and/or all 7 main songs). Please don't spoil the contest and give others an advantage by listing the names of just one or two songs. Participation is definitely desired here. But if you only know four of the songs, just SAY that 'you only know 4 of the songs'. Don't LIST the 4 songs.
And lastly as an aside, I am trying my best to conduct this contest in as open and fair manner as possible. I likewise hope you also participate with clean ethics and morals. Although I can't really prove and track it (unless one of you sends an e-mail link of the actual clip), I really hope that none of you try and 'cheat' by posting any of these songs on another Internet chat board and hope someone else can "win" for you. That's not exactly good sportsmanship here. This is supposed to be a fun contest to test and challenge your musical knowledge against fellow AK'ers. This isn't the Superbowl or CEO job opening where "anything goes" and "must win at all costs". If any of you cheat to win, just remember that you have to look at yourself in the mirror. Although if (and only if) I can produce evidence that suggests cheating (assuming I suspect it), I reserve any and all rights to immediately terminate the contest as well as retroactively cancel it before any prizes get sent out.
