I know CS-63 are TOTL speakers and they are larger and older brothers of famous CS-99A, another TOTL speakers.
But maybe due to rarity (they were built only one 1970 year) they are not as well-known as 99A. There're also CS-63DX, more common then CS-63.
I got CS-63 as my birthday present to my collection long ago.
Today I finally had time to actually play them, so I moved them from collection room to music room.
I was totally blown away. I expected something maybe above average, but they actually played absolutely gorgeous sound that holds well against few-times-more-expensive speakers (as I always say, market value has nothing to do with sound).
The most surprising was the fact that CS-63 has at least the same efficiency as Klipsch Forte I, and probably even a bit more efficient.
Later I checked specs and I found Forte I is 98 dB (I believe it's too conservative, considering a small Heresy II, made on the same period, is 100).
Pioneer CS-99A = 97 db
Pioneer CS-63DX = 99 dB
I cannot find Pioneer CS-63 specs, but I think they should be about equal to CS-63DX.
For contrast, HPM-100 is only 92.5 dB.
Anyway, I didn't expect Pioneer CS-63 beats Klipsch Forte in efficiency, so I report it here.
When I have more time, I will test CS-63 versus CS-99A and HPM-100; it should be interesting.

Thanks for the welcome, the info, and the encouragement. I thought I’d posted pics but being new here maybe I screwed it up. It’s possible you know. The speakers are perfect. Seems to me, if you went to Woodstock, you were also listening to music on something like this. As for condition: No bad surrounds or “foam.” It’s more a rubbery stuff that still looks new on the woofer. All others; the mid, tweeter, and horn also appear as new. No dented or damaged cones. I’m proficient at tackling DIY projects but am a noobie to replacing parts in speakers, amps, reading and understanding diagrams, etc. I am confident I can learn what’s what. My questions would be more toward finding the most original replacement or highest quality versions of same if I have to recap or do other things. I’d also be interested in parts that would be considered upgrades. I have a couple of amps and receivers. A Yamaha CR-800 is my everyday unit. I also have a great Sansui AU-317, and the whole Nakamichi PA-5 ensemble; amp and matching pre-amp, and tuner. I just picked up a Hafler DH-220 and am searching for a pre-amp. I might be getting a Yamaha 820. My main speakers are Maggie IIIs with the Nak gear. But when I find things like DCM Time Windows (currently using with the Yamaha) or these CS-63s I’ll use the Yamaha or the Sansui. The speakers are rated for 60 watts anyway so they’ll be fine.
