Swiss Army of tuners?

Does anyone make a respectable tuner that is capable of pulling in regular radio - HD radio and Sirrus/XM? oh and internet radio would be cool too.

I saw the Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner unit and it looks pretty good minus the XM/Sirrus & Internet.

There is no true Swiss Army tuners which do all of those features. Also, as a rule the best sounding analogue tuners are vintage ones. I love the new McIntosh MR 88 tuner best for HD Radio. It's still excellent analog but not up to my beloved HH Scott 312D or McIntosh MR 74 on sonics. Internet Radio is mostly computers and some dedicated appliances which are mainly Internet radio only. XM/Sirius is mainly separate although some newer gear offers it.

The McIntosh MR 88 will be the closest to his wishes and offer the best sound quality of any such unit. Their new HD MR 88 tuner is our station group's reference HD tuner of all, even modulation monitors. It's that good. It just lacks Internet radio tuning. It's XM/Sirius is more listenable than most (optional XM tuner module needed, dealer installation advised). Expensive but nothing out there presently betters it.

I love it! If I had a spare $4,000 to spend, I would most surely go for the MR 88 tuner. Unfortunately, this week, and the next, we're having our kitchen gutted and rebuilt by a team of very expensive elves!
