Switching Speaker Cabinets

Hi all,

I thinking of changing the speaker cabinets I have, the GNPs are almost
the same size as a pair of LS3/5A cabs it's just that the LS3/5A's are just
a 1/2 inch narrower everything else is the same Height and Depth. Would
that change the sound in any way or it would be pretty close?

Thanks

A lot of people will argue to the micro inch and you're close enough. as long as the insulation, if any, is similar. Might be worth adding a few inches to the bottom end of the woofer for the hell of it.

If acoustic suspension.. you have to seal the drivers and cab and making a silicon seal is the easiest. not a bad idea for any speaker mounting IMO.

I don't think a half of a inch would make much difference, unless the thickness of the
cabinets might effect the sound??
