Sorry, you can't have it both ways. That should be a three grand local sale, and the seller should be thrilled to get it.

The big caps have frequently been found to be in good shape by ConradH one here who can properly test those types of caps. If that is the case with these caps, fully tested and verified, then not replacing them is not a problem. For all the money, new caps should go in so don't offer the full ask, go a bit less.

A Complete Recap should have been done to this for the Price... I guess I should have picked 1 up 3yrs ago for $650 as I took a SX-1250 for $450.

The 1980 was worth around $3000 3 years ago. It is now $4000-5000 at least, in working condition.,
