I'm looking for some experienced technician to bring my receiver back to its original glory. I brought it down from the top self in my closet the other day to find the lights go on as soon as I plug it into a socket only without sound. None of the knobs do anything including the power switch. I would really like to bring it back to "like new" condition. I live in Louisiana and would rather not ship it anywhere. So if anybody has ideas for me would be welcome. Also if you know an experienced technician near me I would be extremely appreciative.

No power? Check fuse on the rear. If blown.....STOP! Bring it to someone who KNOWS sx1980's. If you blow something in the sx1980......the bill just rises and rises........
