SX 3700 Listing A Little Fishy

That series of receiver was actually pretty decent, though I would prefer the earlier style toggle switches over the pushbuttons.

I had an SX-3700 so I speak from personal experience.

I have a SX-3700, never would guess they are worth that much. Probably aren't. The picture is obviously a copy.

Could be that they're just kinda lazy, instead of total thieves.
(Gotta give 'em some benefit of the doubt)

You could be right, I can understand that some folks would find it easy to lift a picture instead of taking their own or heck, they might not even have a camera...

BUT IMO, posting pictures of an item that is not the actual item up for auction without expressing the fact in the description is fraud in my book.

I already have a SX-3700 [as well as a few other SX 3x00 models] but it's missing a knob, hence my scouring of listings and although my SX-1050 sounds dramatically better, I really like the transitional look of these analog /digital blue light specials.

I have the SX-3700 and it's not bad at all. I agree the transitional look is great - it's what caught my eye. Not the same build quality of the x50 but still nice.

Mark helped me fix my FM digital display. Felt I got burned on eBay as seller listed as fully functional near mint with a few lights out!!! Got it for ~ $40-$45 so guess it was still a pretty good deal. All lit up now :smoke:

Those lights are a pain in the rump to get to, aren't they?
The tuning deal is too cool on those.

Hey Shacky, that IS kinda cool looking. I have one of those that a friend gave me before the holidays, but I haven't had a chance to plug it in yet and see what works.:scratch2:

The seller responded and explained that the SX-3700 was already boxed up for shipment and instead of taking pictures of the actual item up for bid, he opted to lift some pics instead....said he was willing to take the item of of the packaged box and snap pictures if the unit doesn't sell the first round.:worried:
