SX-3900 Filter Caps

I'm in the middle of rebuilding this receiver and would like to replace the filter caps so I don't have to tear it apart again to replace them in the future. Would there be any value in increasing the filter caps capacitance like the one linked below to get a larger cap? It seems to be longer with the same diameter so it could fit? Finding it tough to locate a suitable replacement that would work, so any help is appreciated!

I would leave them unless your doing the work for another.
They are difficult to remove and then match with existing available caps.
There is some modification of the board if you are able to find a suitable replacement. Support? They sit horizontally.
Maybe remove them and test with a good LCR instrument? Reinstall. I bet they are good for continued service.
Use the diameter as the first search criteria (Mouser, DigiKey), then voltage, looking for a uf of proper value.
The snap-in's might be your best shot. They are much smaller and lighter in weight. Cheaper and lot's of uf /voltage values to pick from.
 
Well eventually it’ll go to someone else but for now it’s just for my personal use, I’ve had it awhile just couldn't get to it because of other receivers that needed work. I like to listen to gear all stock, and then restore them. It’s fun and very rewarding, I think I enjoy rebuilding receivers more than listening to them. But since I’m going to be replacing the rest of the caps in the receiver and I have the heatsink and amp board out of the receiver, I can access the filter caps easily. I would prefer to replace it now rather than later due to the amount of work it takes to get to the filter caps.

I've seen in other threads the use of stand offs but the caps that they mentioned are no longer in production. Just measured the caps and they are 40mm in diameter x 90mm in length with 25mm lead spacing. If I go with the 22,000uf one linked above, I should be able to fit it in without having to use standoffs but I’m concerned with what would happen long term if the capacitance is increased to 22,000uf. You are right, there are not very many options that will fit the bill.
 
the sx-3900 HAS a soft start relay ( for the toroidal transformer) so a capacitance increase isn't a problem, short or long term.

when finished and working, let us know the part number of the capacitor used, for other's use.
