SX-424 (AAD-029) & SX-525 (AAD-024A) - same black button tips?

Preserving the sound
I am finishing up some work on an SX-525 and am missing one of the black Button knobs it has for Loudness, FM muting, Tape monitor or Stereo/Mono mode. The Pioneer parts database (GREAT resource BTW) says the SX-424 and SX-525 have different part numbers for these knobs, but I find it hard to believe that Pioneer would stock 2 part numbers at the same time for the what appears to be the same knob doing the same job. Anyone know if they are same or different?
