SX-636, 737, 838, 939 and 1010 Rubber Brackets

I recently purchased a SX-1010 and found the function pilot lamp rubber brackets (AEB-057) are hardened and deteriorated beyond practical repair. Pioneer Electronics (http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/) states that these parts are no longer available. Has anyone found a replacement for or a repair to these rubber brackets? I currently own SX-636, SX-737, SX-838 and SX-1010 receivers therefore the crumbling brackets are of crucial importance to me!
Thanks,
Bill

Not that I know of, but perhaps in the future we can get three birds with one stone:

1. Get an appropriate color LED to replace the lamp (yellow? white? others? - I have to check, or reds and greens as the front panel color filters dictate)

2. make an appropriately sized molded assembly ( or carve it from something?) to hold the leds that will substitute - the envelope is simple enough. Perhaps urethane foam blocks - or extruded (not expanded like used in foam cups) polystyrene.

3. keeping it cooler with LEDS, we eliminate the temperature effects of the incandescent lamps, increasing the longevity of the molded assembly and widen our available choices of materials.

As for the old ones - I have run into those (or similar ones) often enough on "newer" models as well, where extreme caution has to be taken.

Thanks for your input, MTF! I am considering using LEDs but had not thought about using foam blocks.

Some time back, before I organized better, I had written down the indicators and their colors - but I can no longer find it.

Could you post the indicators and their colors?
