I picked up a nice SX-737 recently. The tuning knob is a bit loose and "jiggly". I cant see any way to adjust it. Is the bearing just worn out?

Not sure about that model, but some of these guys have a bushing for the tuning shaft that's secured by a nut. The nut might be loose.

Thanks for responding tsd, but no set screw. Its the shaft with the counter weight thats jiggly. I'm trying to find some threads for this now. BTW tsd...I like your avitar of Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse. I grew up watching that cartoon :D

Thanks Mike....I'm looking at some similar threads now and the diagram from HI-Fi Engine. It looks like I'll have to take the dial out to access the lock nut to adjust the inner shaft. Prolly should lube it also. Meh...looks like a PIA to do right now. :yuck:

Finally someone knows who Courageous Cat is..Not too many people remember that cartoon

"Pour away mine host"...it's grape juice...
